I'm curious as to the family's memorial/party arrangements (private and/or public) and perhaps the possibility of a public gig at some point in the future. If there is such a thing it would be nice if it were captured on disc or photos.

also, when looking at the memorial book when it was first started, i noticed that there were several comments from fans in the st. louis, mo area. i would certainly be interested in a get together of cowsill fans to pay tribute to the cowsills in this sad time, maybe to celebrate the music he helped create. anyone? i saw the cowsills perform 4 times and like alot of women who have posted, had a massive crush on barry. i still listen to them today not as a nostaligic reminder of my adolescence but as the originators of beautiful pop music that has stood the test of time. i've done some crying, played 'as is' and all the other cds alot and shared my concert pics with my musician and record store owner friends (one made a tribute in-store display for bee). i feel blessed to have had him/them give me such beautiful songs that have enriched my life so. anyone near st. louie reading this?

I think it'll have to be on our own for those.
I'm a St. Louis native but live in Colorado now. Whereabouts are you at??? There are several fans who've been around awhile from St. L.

I, too, would like to have a Memorial party for Barry. I live in Atlanta, GA. I loved him dearly and also had the feeling that he would be alright. I'm still in shock!
Anyone in GA interested?

Why not get together in Newport, his home and where he is being brought back to? I think it's quite fitting and many on this website have made the trip several times to see The Cowsills or see Barry perform. What does everyone think?

I believe Providence would be the closest airport. Southwest flies there. There are 2 Amtrak stations, one in Providence and one in Kingston. Providence is about 34 miles from Newport and Kingston is about 16. I don't know about transportation from those points other than rentals. And there's always the bus. I didn't look into that. But then again, there are a lot of us New Englanders that might be willing to play chauffer.
