Here in VA we can get WKBW the big oldies station from Buffalo, NY on the radio here at nite. And sometimes during the day. They are great. On there yesterday I heard Indian Lake on the radio. Before they pay it I could swore I heard the dj say the Cowsills were getting a new member. That seems highly unlikely to me as I don't think they'd get an outsider to join their group, & they probably wouldn't adopt someone else in the family, plus with Barry passing on. I bet it's a rumor. Or maybe I heard the dj wrong as he was one of those fast talking NY djs who talk a mile a minute. Anyway I figured folks would want to know. Continued prayers for the Cowsill family...

HAD to be Jackson Armstrong, LOL!!! One of my favorite DJ's and a nice guy, too. We've emailed each other quite a bit since KB switched back to the oldies format. ONE good thing about winter is that I get great reception on KB As far as a new Cowsill...either he was joking..or he was just reporting a crazy rumor. Lauren

Oh yeah, it HAD to be Jackson Armstrong, the All American Freak. Does he still call himself that? I knew he's been back on KB for a while but I forget tune in! I don't work as late as I used to so I 've only caught him a few times since they went to the oldies format. He was always my favorite. Compared to the DJs we had in beautiful downtown Bangor, Maine, it wasn't much of a competition. I could hardly wait until the sun went down and I could get WKBW.

I beet that was him as he's one of the ones they have on there. I listened to WKBW as a kid in the 60's & teen in the 70's & when they dropped the music format they lost me as a listener. Nwo that they are oldies again I love to listen to them at nite. I like their fast qalking dj's. It's so neat to hear them. They have a personality alot of dj's just donn't have these days...

Cheryl and KimC,
You are both right..radio isn't like it used to be, and Jackson Armstrong would be the first to tell you that. I love the fact that I can pick up KB pretty early now, sometimes by 4 pm, especially now that he's on from 3 to 8 pm.
Btw did you two hear the nice Barry/Cowsills tribute Jackson did on Friday, January 6 throughout his show? If not, for the first 3 hours or so, he spoke about Barry and his talents, and what a loss his death is for music. He also played a Cowsills hit every time he mentioned Barry, and expressed his condolences to Barry's family, friends, and fans.
Thanks, Jackson!

???Any pics from Band Night on Saturday? Wellll....lenses on my digital camera are not much appreciating the A) Low light situation and/or B) Blinking color lights of the F&H. In other words, what little images were captured (around the dancin' fools and das blinkin lites) need a little work before submission. (As do the set list scribblings of Princess Scribe and her helpers...) It's a work in progress...
