Well done and respectful article. Much better then some of lousy 'entertainment news' links out there.

:'(No poop CareBear............ I particularly don't like the "Boston Herald "female journalists who have covered this story. I let them know how I felt...........I doubt I'll hear back........

Several us of wrote them, Kim. I don't care if I hear back from them or not. That was irresponsible journalism and they needed to be called on the carpet for it.

I'm thinking we should be keeping an eye out for any response to our letters - maybe an apology or short follow up article, or at least any of the letters being published. It would be some indication of whether the paper really took on board the point, and that those hacks were indeed admonished.

Could someone be so kind as to point me in the direction of the Boston Herald articles you are referring to? I haven't seen them and would love to join in the letter campaign if it was really that bad. Thanks!

If you follow the link that Wes posted, you can contact the women who wrote the piece as well as the paper. Will this make any difference? Probably not because this is the kind of newspaper the Herald is. But I figure I'm going to do it anyway. It will make me feel better.

I sent an email to the writers of this irresponsible, distastful article. Not sure if it will do any good, but like you Kim, I did feel better after I sent it. I live in Mass and have always disliked this paper.....

I live in Mass and have always disliked this paper..... Growing up a Massachusetts girl myself. I do recall Dad coming home daily with two newspapers in hand...........one was read at the kitchen table...........the other.........(no joke)...........was strictly bathroom read!!!!!!

I really appreciated the "stone" article. I can't believe that anything negative or disrespectful could be said about anyone in this family, whether sarcastically, or an attempt at humor. Maybe I'll actually read the other article in a couple of days. I'm still slightly numb, and I grab on to every sunrise that I can. I'm glad to see that you, Mosse, and CareBear, and Barb Honey are still here after these few years that I've been away...like the sunrises that I look at every morning! Always there, and ALWAYS appreciated!

Yeah, the Bo Herald comment was tasteless and shows these reporters as the rank amateurs they really are. I believe you can be a biting, edgy columnist without resorting to sarcastic humor in an obit, especially for a once living, breathing person who was obviously loved by his family. Just write it off, folks. These reporters will soon be out of the biz.

That's great. I've yet to hear from the "writers". I guess they're having a hard time catching up on their recent mail. And hopefully busy cleaning out their desks.

You know, too, how I felt about Barry. It's still hard to believe and grasp. I don't think I want to.
