Well, whaddya know? Thanks for the link on that, Cynthia. That article pissed me off. It took a lot of nerve to be that flippant.

I wrote, too, immediately. I called the paper and left a message and plan to call them again Friday! That's more than enough time for these writers to be told to clean out their desks OR for the paper to print an apology...morons that they are!
I live in MA and was appalled at the irreverant, frivolous way they chose to end the article.
I also emailed the Red Sox to tell them about Barry's passing. It would be nice if they contacted the family. I know they were really excited about having them come out. One of my students used to work for the organization and she told me they were VERY happy the Cowsills were coming.
SO WAS I!!!

FYI...The regular print edition of Rolling Stone (witih Neil Young on the cover) does have a small feature about Barry's passing and his picture.

I wrote immediately after reading it and also wrote to the editor. I called to speak to the editor and haven't received any response back. I doubt we will. Still, they owe the Cowsills an apology. I'm so glad that everyone wrote. It was so disrespectful and NOT funny which seems to be their intent.
