"And, again, I don't know where he is. I -- I'll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him." GWB, March 2002

Democrats aren't like terrorists, but the left wing of the democratic party goes along with the rhetoric of the Al Qaeda types, and you know what I'm talking about

Hey Moss-e, The concern is that Matthews is supposed to be "mainstream", and he's spouting out GOP talking points, and repeating Ken Mehlman and Karl Rove word for word on his show, and if he wants to pretend like he doesn't work for Fox News, he needs to be called out for it. I personally think the GOP co-opted at least the timing of the release of the tape since it was all too convienent to start trying their games of Osama= Dems and giving be afraid, be very afraid speeches by Cheney, and I think they were so over the top that even they knew they should quit pretty quickly. I heard none of that nonsense on the Sunday talk shows today, and I'd say some of that might have been due to the really bad reaction they got from the public for even trying that maneuver. They were insulting to the point where it was just ridiculous since obviously Bin Laden is not in league with Moore, Kennedy, or Kerry, and it was a really sick, insulting, and moronic argument to even try to make that I'm sure offended even a lot of their moderate viewers as being over the top, and making something political out of a terrorist threat. Pretty sick.

Moore, Kennedy and Kerry say the same things about the U.S and our soldiers that Bin Laden and his fallowers say, and that's not republican talikng points, it's recorded scientific FACT. also, it was Al Jazeera that released the tape, and I doubt they are in co-hoots with Bush and his oil buddies

....it was a really sick, insulting, and moronic argument to even try to make. ;D That's becoming more obvious all the time.

This is worth checking out also. Matthews tries to defend himself for his statements the day before with more smears: thinkprogress.org/2006/01/20/matthews-misunderstood/I hope Karl Rove is paying Tweety well. It seems he at least had to try to address those nasty bloggers who didn't like what he had to say. The open letter to Matthews is up over 50,000 responses so far with people who were offended by what he said. I think Karl is a little off his game with his worries about still being indicted by Fitzgerald. Keep him out there right along with DeLay, Blunt, Santorum, and all these other crooks who have taken our government into the corrupt state it is now. If the GOP doesn't have the sense to bury these people in a cave somewhere, better for the Democrats next election. Keeps the crooks in the lime light and keep it shining brightly, and keep up ridiculous talking points that offend most Americans. Way to go boys. I'll be happy if these poster children for corruption stay front and center for the next year and make it really obvious that the GOP is completely incapable of policing itself, that it only took them ten years to get as corrupt as it took the Dems 30 years to get when they were in power and that they obviously had a higher learning curve on how to be corrupt, and keep it up with the try to scare everyone to death rhetoric which is just not playing well when they won't secure our borders or ports, and can't even manage natural disasters, much less a terrorist attack, and have used Homeland Security as a dumping ground for cronies who don't know what they're doing while saying the Dems like terrorists. Give me a break. These people can't run a government because they hate government unless it's to enrich their constituents, and steal our tax dollars, and that's all they care about, and they'll say anything, or do anything to stay in power.
