Right now, Best Of The Cowsills is on my CD player. Just finished John Denver's Greatest Hits. May switch to Sirius satellite radio after the Cowsills, haven't decided yet Hey does anyone else have Sirius? If so, any clue what channel might play Susan's music? Just curious Lauren

An LP I pulled off the top shelf:The Dillards "Roots and Branches". The Dillards rule! And a CD I ordered, used, and turned out it came from Argentina via Registered Mail, instead of down the street at Hastings, so I had to go to the Post Office yesterday and sign stuff to get it.

I keep waiting for them to say, "Okay this is as good as it's going to get." (And for the prices to fall).

Now that I have a 35 minute ride to and from work, I'm thinking about satellite. Radio isn't great in Buffalo, and I'm geting tired of Toronto stations too, so I just might take the plunge. But I'd probably NOT get Sirius just to keep my money out of Howard Stern's pockets.....
ac30....unless, of course, they play the Continental Drifters....

hey ac30,
If you're looking for oldies, 50s to 70s, 'KB aka WWKB/formerly WKBW on AM 150. One of my all time favorite DJ's..Jackson Armstrong..voicetracks a show from 3 to 8 pm. For those of you familiar with him, he's still as FUNNY as he was when he was live on 'KB in the early 70s. Not only does he play all the great hits, but he also is very well informed on behind the scenes info about all the artists, which he shares every day with his listeners.
He was one of the Dj's, in fact, who did a wonderful tribute to Barry on Friday of the week his passing was announced.

It might give you a little taste of what it's like. I've been listening to XM Top Tracks all day today.

Good point, Tracey, although XM and Sirius are somewhat different. The majority of Sirius DJ's are well known to listeners in the NY/NJ/CT listening area, as quite a few were made famous by long stints at top stations in New York City, especially. Sirius has Jim Kerr, Ray Rossi, Bill Rock, Cousin Bruce Morrow aka Cousin Brucie, Steve O'Brien etc And of COURSE, they now have Howard Stern as well. I have also listened to XM and enjoy that as well Lauren

I tended to enjoy the Sirius music stations more but thought there was a wider variety of talk radio available on XM. Of course, that's been awhile ago. I'm still trying to figure out if Carol Miller was the DJ I used to listen to on WNOR in Norfolk, VA back in the 80s.

Hey Lauren,
I listened to KB on the way home last night. Jackson Armstrong sounds exactly the same as I remembered from all those long years ago. I was in high school when he was on the air here. Man, am I old! LOL The biggest problem I have with KB is the sound quality of AM radio. I admit to being spoiled by that nice Infinity sound system in my truck. I'm also not that crazy about 50's and early 60's music either. I became "aware" of music one Sunday night back in 1963 when a certain British band were guests on The Ed Sullivan Show. That night changed EVERYTHING.....
But it was nice hearing Armstrong again. I knew that Danny Neavreth had moved to mornings on KB, but I had no idea that Joey Reynolds was on overnight. That's another blast from the past. KB was quite the station back in the 60's. 50,000 watts beaming up and down the Eastern Seaboard.....
Thanks for the tip.
